Sushant's Favourite Poems
English Poems
๐ฌIf you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
....
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
....
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!๐ฌ

Hurt people, hurt people.
Forgive them
and then if you could
Love them
and then,
let's just witness the magic.!! #selfmusing ~SSR
Sushant may be trying to say that love them as characters and build stories around them then a magic story comes out! He loved to elevate those baddies as celestial objects in his mind (see the picture) and then #SSRDreamStory was the outcome. This is how your anger can be passed on to the future generation through stories. Read also the post Rise of a Super Man (Stoicism, Flow) for interpretation of Forgive at least one everyday.

and hence
all at once
with my every exhale
counted or forgotten
for & then

now again
only to rush back
like a gasp
waking me up
wanting to live
as your smile
just one last time,
every time...

The picture is
- Black & white picture - means death as indicated by "I die a bit ..."
- Shadow on the front wall - means bioreplica. "wanting to live as your smile" means Sushant wants to live as his copy within SSRians
Sushant was saying that he was dying each moment as he failed in attempt to replicate himself within us but he was resurrecting himself again with a hope of replicating himself in us.
a POEM 'i' wrote for 'u'...
Love is where 'you' & 'I' are not and yet we would fight our losses together,
to survive a bit more
so as to love some more.
we shall ask the heaven to lend some breaths more,
so that I get to love you
the very last time
just a bit more.
Where are we now ?
You & I ?
there is just enough need
to love some more
one last time

School Prayer by Diane Ackerman | Heart Poems
In the name of the daybreak
and the eyelids of morning
and the wayfaring moon
and the night when it departs,
We are the wild (savage) ones who dance with the tides of the moon until the sun comes up and the moon goes down. We are the wild (savage) ones who sail through the tides of InnSaei (sea within) of the starworld until the sun comes up and the moon goes down.
I swear I will not dishonor
my soul with hatred,
but offer myself humbly
as a guardian of nature,
as a healer of misery,
as a messenger of wonder,
as an architect of peace.
Sushant wanted to heal the starworld from blues as an agent of change๐ฆ & architect of peace๐.
In the name of the sun and its mirrors
and the day that embraces it
and the cloud veils drawn over it
and the uttermost night
and the male and the female
and the plants bursting with seed
and the crowning seasons
of the firefly and the apple,
Sushant wanted everyone to respect nature especially work towards building a healthy social nature around them.
I will honor all life
—wherever and in whatever form
it may dwell—on Earth my home,
and in the mansions of the stars.
Sushant wanted all forms life to be respected in all homes of the stars (= celebrities) on earth.

Mad Girl's Love Song Summary & Analysis by Sylvia Plath
I am. I am not is from Jalaluddin Rumi's poem Like the shadow I am and I am not... where the shadow is Sushant's bioreplica.
35. Like the shadow
We have to treat Mad Girl’s Love Song also as a talk to bioreplica.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
The Matrix of the starworld๐ (= celebrityworld) is weaved by Sushant. It is created through his imagination hence only in his head. The stars at the sky are imaginary. The real stars or celebrities, which he is talking about, are on the earth. The starworld๐ is destroyed and recreated as per his wish.
The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
Sushant has classified stars (= celebrities) as blue ones and red ones as explained in the post #SSRDream-7/50.❤️ Do a Four Clap ๐ Push-Up ! (1/6) ...The blackness symbolizes sad conditions of the starworld๐.
I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
Whether the above lines are of Sushant or his bioreplica? If Sushant was saying them then it means that Sushant mistook that his bioreplica or to be bioreplica fully understood him and he was madly happy.
God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
Sushant was wondering that heaven, hell, angles, demons & everything may disappear one day but ever his bioreplica appear!?
I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
Sushant was wondering whether his bioreplica will ever appear in reality!?
I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
The thunderbird is an mythological bird of Native Americans. Spring is a season when thunderstorms are most likely to occur hence mythical thunderbird may also appear. Sushant doubted the probability of existence of his bioreplica is much lesser than existence of thunderbird.
The still point of the turning world ::
Here is a place of disaffection
Time before and time after
In a dim light: neither daylight
Investing form with lucid stillness
Turning shadow into transient beauty
Wtih slow rotation suggesting permanence
Nor darkness to purify the soul
Emptying the sensual with deprivation
Cleansing affection from the temporal.
Neither plentitude nor vacancy. Only a flicker..

T.S Eliot & the still point of the turning world - The Philosophy School
“The still point of the turning world” is a phrase from T.S. Eliot's poem Burnt Norton that describes a state of being where disruption and order coexist. The phrase refers to the power of thought, decision, and tranquility of mind. The poem also discusses how the present is more important than the past or future, and how the universe is orderly. ~google
The above meaning implies what is said in the following post,
Excitement of Living in the Presence
The phrase "Here is a place of disaffection" from T.S. Eliot's poem "Burnt Norton" suggests a state of emotional detachment, numbness, and a lack of meaning or purpose in the modern world, where neither plenitude nor vacancy can be found. ~google
This may be connected to absurdity which is explained in the following post.
"Time before and time after in a dim light: neither daylight" is a line from the poem Burnt Norton by T.S. Eliot. The line describes a semi-dark place where the past and future mingle. The semi-darkness is neither sunlight, which makes objects appear clear and stable, nor a pure darkness, which can bring release. Instead, it's a flicker that crosses the faces of people who are distracted and indifferent.
The phrase "In a dim light: neither daylight" from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton" suggests a state of neither complete darkness nor bright, ordinary daylight, but a twilight or an in-between state, evoking a sense of stillness and contemplation. ~google
This is an inbetween state of ignorance & enlightenment.
"Investing form with lucid stillness," a phrase from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton," signifies the ability of something (like art or language) to achieve a state of clarity and peace, even in the midst of movement or change, by finding a form that captures a sense of timelessness and order.
Lucid Stillness refers to a state of clarity and peace, a sense of being present and aware, yet calm and unmoving. This suggests that the form or structure of something (like a poem, a piece of art, or even a moment in time) can be used to achieve this state of lucid stillness. In "Burnt Norton," Eliot explores the idea of transcending time and finding a "still point" where the past, present, and future converge. The phrase appears in the context of describing the effect of daylight, which "invests form with lucid stillness". ~google
This may be enlightened๐ฅ state of living in the presence.
"Turning shadow into transient beauty" from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton" suggests finding or creating beauty in unexpected places, even in the mundane or seemingly negative, and appreciating the fleeting nature of such beauty.
The phrase appears in the third section of Eliot's poem "Burnt Norton," which explores themes of time, memory, and the search for meaning in a world that can feel fragmented and meaningless. In this context, "shadow" can represent the ordinary, the mundane, the negative, or the seemingly ugly aspects of life.
"Transient" emphasizes the fleeting, ephemeral nature of beauty, suggesting that it is not permanent or lasting. A sunset, a beautiful moment in a rose garden, or even a moment of peace in a noisy place could be seen as turning shadow into transient beauty. ~google
This is the renaissance moment of the starworld๐ where a new starworld๐ is born after destroying the old one.
The phrase "with slow rotation suggesting permanence" from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton" implies that time, while moving, is also cyclical and enduring, hinting at a timeless, unchanging reality beyond the constant flux of the present.
This phrase appears in the first section of T.S. Eliot's poem "Burnt Norton," which is the opening poem of his "Four Quartets". "Slow rotation" refers to the cyclical nature of time, where past, present, and future are interconnected and constantly moving, yet also returning. Despite the constant movement of time, the phrase suggests that there is a deeper, underlying reality or "still point" that transcends the limitations of time. This permanence is not a static state, but rather a sense of enduring meaning or truth that is revealed through the cyclical nature of time. The poem explores themes of time, the nature of existence, and the search for meaning and redemption. The phrase suggests that even though time is constantly moving, there is a sense of timelessness or permanence that can be found in the present moment. It encourages a focus on the present and a recognition of the cyclical nature of time as a way to find meaning and connection to something beyond the limitations of the temporal world. ~google
Excitement of Living in the Presence
Sushant told his story in a nonlinear or cyclic manner but he lived in the presence.
The phrase "Nor darkness to purify the soul" from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton" suggests that the speaker doesn't find solace or spiritual cleansing in the kind of darkness that involves sensory deprivation or a complete detachment from the world.
This line appears in the third section of "Burnt Norton," where the speaker is describing a place of "disaffection" and a sense of being detached from the world. "Nor darkness to purify the soul": The speaker rejects the idea that darkness, understood as a state of emptiness or complete sensory deprivation, can lead to spiritual purification or transcendence. "Emptying the sensual with deprivation": This phrase, which follows the line, further clarifies the speaker's rejection of this type of darkness. "Cleansing affection from the temporal": The speaker is not seeking to cleanse their affections from the temporal world, but rather to find a way to engage with it in a meaningful way. The passage suggests that the speaker is not looking for a simple escape from the world, but rather to find a way to engage with it in a more meaningful and spiritual way. ~google
This line has a tinge of existentialism explained in the post below.
"Emptying the sensual with deprivation" suggests a deliberate act of stripping away worldly pleasures and attachments to achieve a state of spiritual awareness or transcendence, often found in religious or philosophical contexts.
Sensual refers to the pleasures and experiences derived from the physical senses and the world around us. Deprivation implies the act of voluntarily abstaining from or denying oneself these sensual pleasures. Emptying - The goal is not simply to abstain, but to actively remove or discard these attachments to achieve a state of emptiness or non-attachment. Spiritual Awareness/Transcendence - This state of emptiness is seen as a path to a deeper understanding of oneself, the universe, or the divine. ~google
Self-transcendence is explained in the following post.
"Cleansing affection from the temporal" from T.S. Eliot's "Burnt Norton" means to detach oneself from earthly attachments and desires, focusing instead on spiritual or timeless realities.
Temporal: Refers to things that are related to time, fleeting, and worldly. Affection: Here, it means desires, attachments, and emotions tied to the material world. Cleansing: The act of purifying or removing these worldly attachments. The Context of "Burnt Norton": The poem explores themes of time, eternity, and the search for meaning beyond the mundane. The Significance: By "cleansing affection from the temporal," Eliot suggests a path towards spiritual enlightenment or a deeper understanding of reality, moving beyond the distractions of everyday life. ~google
This is about ascending towards self-transcendence & enlightenment.
The phrase "Neither plentitude nor vacancy. Only a flicker" from T.S. Eliot's Burnt Norton suggests a state of being neither fully present nor completely empty, but rather a fleeting, momentary existence, a hint of something beyond the ordinary.
"Neither plentitude nor vacancy": This establishes a sense of being neither full nor empty, neither complete nor lacking, suggesting a state of in-betweenness. "Only a flicker": This emphasizes the transient and ephemeral nature of this state, implying a brief, almost imperceptible presence or awareness. The phrase appears in the context of Eliot's exploration of time, history, and the human condition, suggesting that true meaning and understanding lie beyond the grasp of ordinary experience. The poem argues that a focus on the present is what one should have, even if one is more concerned with the past and/or the future. Eliot's concept of time includes two streams which exist simultaneously, and which intersect at significant moments. These are time temporal, in which man must live his life in the changing phenomenal world, and the Timeless, noumenal world which he encounters in these significant moments . ~google
The stress is agin on the living in the presence.
