Advaita - Everything is One

The term Advaita (literally "non-secondness" ...) refers to the idea that Brahman alone is ultimately real, while the transient phenomenal world is an illusory appearance (maya) of Brahman. In this view, (jiv)Ātman, the experiencing self, and Ātman-Brahman, the highest Self and Absolute Reality, is non-different. The jivatman or individual self is a mere reflection or limitation of singular Ātman in a multitude of apparent individual bodies.

What is Non-Dualism?

Monotheists argue that the world needs a creator. Then the same question arises on the creator, who created this creator? They argue that creator himself created him. Why to go that far? Why not we stop at the earlier stage itself by saying that the world created itself? This is what nondualism is. World itself is a conscious being capable of creating, maintaining & destroying itself. The whole world is one single consciousness. I, you and everyone else and everything else is a part of this single supreme consciousness. If you believe nondualism and that the world is maya or matrix of an illusion then you are a follower of advaita philosophy. Advaita followers believe that world is an illusion but the supreme consciousness pervading throughout it is the ultimate truth. This is the fabric of reality or the matrix of illusion.

Sushant is trying to say that consciousness is the source of everything unlike materialism which says consciousness is a synthetic product of materials.
