Here is my two parts answer to the above query.

Part-1. Whether verbs like Perform/Help/Learn have meaning.

Depends upon the case.

Case-1. If a verb is associated with many dreams like Play then object part is also important.

Consider following example where verb is Play. These dreams have different loves-hates classification.

Direct and Indirect Objects

For example, in the dream "Play chess with a champion", chess is direct object, "with a champion" is indirect object.
